Therapeutic Massage

Intentional Touch™

The word MASSAGE is derived from the Greek word massein, to knead. Massage is manipulation of the soft tissues of the body, using a series of manual techniques aimed at achieving or increasing health and wellness.

MASSAGE THERAPY uses a series of actions aimed at achieving or increasing health and wellness. The main technique is manual soft tissue manipulation, including holding, causing movement, and/or applying pressure to specific muscles of the body. Massage therapy improves functioning of the circulatory, lymphatic, muscular, skeletal, and nervous systems.

The word THERAPY is derived from the Greek word therapeia, meaning treatment.

THERAPEUTIC MASSAGE indicates a training beyond technique which includes an understanding of specific health conditions, as well as if massage is indicated and, if so, how to safely and effectively apply massage to assist the healing. Therapeutic Massage assists in pain reduction and management; promoting resolution of many serious health conditions. In many cases Therapeutic Massage improves the rate at which the body recovers from injury and illness.

Intentional Touch™ Massage is an approach that uses contact (touch) with careful and deliberate purpose. Intentional Touch™ insures a safe environment, minimizes the risk of reinforcing or triggering original traumas and/or injuries, and maximizes the effectiveness of your treatments by customizing and tailoring the massage to your needs. Intentional Touch™ Massage results in reducing body symptoms and pain, clear thinking and mental acuity, emotional balance and inner peace and ease.

If you are looking for a way to relax, prevent health problems or to reduce daily stress, Intentional Touch™ Massage is wonderful and effective. If you have a health condition, it is important that your Intentional Touch™ Therapeutic Masseuse is trained and experienced in the condition you are seeking treatment for.
